The Shih Tzu was a gift from the Tibetan monks to the Chinese emperor some 1,400 years ago. During that period eunuchs were the care taker for the dogs. In China it was named as Lion Dog due to its mane resembling to that of lion and was regarded as lucky charm. Later on it gained popularity in Asia also. The standard poodles have dense, coiled and curly coat. Apart from white, poodles are available in other colors also such as black and brown. What Is The Origin Of The Beagle ?

The beagle breed is in existence for a long time. But the origins are not known. These type dogs are known to be in existence from 400 B.C in Greece and 200 A.D in Britain. It is believed that the Romans took these dogs with them when they went to England.
