Dog Breeding Statistics

There are almost 52 million dogs which live in the US households. Almost 6.2 million dogs face death every year. And, 3.8 million dogs die in homes, accidents, and veterinary hospitals; and 2.4 die in the shelters. Every year 7.3 million dogs are acquired by the owners from breeders and pet stores, 1 million dogs are taken from the animal shelters and 5 million are adult strays.

History Of Dog Breeding

Humans may have neglected other animals, but have fed and allowed for the existence of the animals which are useful to them. They have fed and protected the dogs, and established relationship with them. For many hundreds of decades, humans have domesticated these animals which have now become a friend of humans.

What Does A Beagle Look Like ?

The Beagle is a sturdy hound dog breed that looks like a smaller version of the Foxhound. With its square body, medium muzzle, long and slightly domed skull, large eyes and wide ears, this happy little dog wags its tail vigorously and greets the visitors to the house. The eyes are generally brown in color and are set apart.
