Indoor Dog Agility Training

If you live in a place where it is always cold or it is winter season, you have to introduce your dog to indoor dog agility training. You can train your dog in the basement or garage or in the hall way. Do not let the training equipment freeze outside. Instead move it indoors before it begins to snow.

Pause table will help you with the indoor training. Place one in the living room to help train your dog on obedience and agility. Contacts will work effectively in training your dog indoors. A contact trainer, which is of three pieces, is very flexible, it includes an A frame side, dog walk plank and a pause table. With the indoor contacts, you can train your dog with two feet up and two feet down and control its behavior and also its agility.

Be careful when you are training your dog in indoor jumping. If there is no indoor mat, do not let your dog jump. Do not allow your dog to jump on wooden or concrete floor. This may injure the dog. Instead, make use of uprights or posts. Make use of the sit stay or down stay to train the dog.

Weaves can also be practiced indoors. It may be straight line weaves or weave chute. Weave training for 5 minutes everyday will help your dog weave smoothly in matter of months. You can train with weave entries and weave sends or weave recalls.

Mini agility equipment is also available in the market, and it requires much less space than the standard equipment. It includes mini dog walks, mini A frame and mini teeters. These can be used for puppy training and indoor dog agility training.
