The first thing that you would be doing is to bring a pesticide that has the killing power of fleas and spray it all around your house. You should be aware that these pesticides have harmful chemicals that can adversely affect the children. So, a better thing would be to first try the home remedies if that works then why go for harmful chemicals.
There are number of home remedies available, but in order to have a full control over fleas you should be first taking acre of the environment around you. A clean and a disinfected surrounding will not provide any breeding place for these fleas at all. Wash the bed of your pet with a eucalyptus essential oil. That can kill at least 99 percent of home dust mites also. You must vacuum your entire house regularly and sprinkle table salt over the carpets and upholstery to remove these un-welcomed creatures. Citrus repellant made up of lemon; aromatherapy repellents made of lavender and Cedar wood oils; essential oil baths; internal flea repellents like garlic, brewer’s yeast tablets and apple cider vinegar; and external repellents like sprinkling of diatomaceous earth in the affected areas, planting a herb known as Tansy are some of the home remedies that work very well on fleas disinfestations.
