At this stage, you may or may not see the mites visibly but these are enough indications for you to be sure that the infection exists.
In case the mites are not treated immediately and removed, they travel down the ear canal to the middle and cause an infection in the middle ear part. Because of the irritation caused by the mites, the dogs start shaking their heads excessively and are off balance and find it difficult to hold up their head in a straight position for a long time.
The first step to treatment is cleaning the ear to remove some amount of discomfort. Then you can insert some olive oil or vegetable oil with a needle-less syringe or an eyedropper. You can massage out the excessive dirt caused in the ear by the mite by squeezing some substance out. You may also cotton balls to clean the ear.
Another recommended treatment is to mix 9 Yellow Dock Root Extract drops with 1 tablespoon of water. Massage the ear well and put these drops into the ear.
Otherwise, you can mix 1/2 ounce almond oil with 400 IU vitamin E. Put a drop each into the ear and massage the infected area gently.
