Many of the joints, heart, bones and muscles disorders are specific to a particular breed of dog or hereditary in nature.
Skin diseases in dogs manifest themselves in the form of inflammation, redness of skin, itchiness, darkening, soreness, thickening, crusting, blisters, scaling, erosion, flakes, ulcers, oily or greasy texture on the skin, rubbing of the face, discoloration of hair and hair loss. You may also observe excessive licking by dogs on the forelegs, paws, groins and armpits.
Internal disorders could be exhibited by depression, lethargy, tiredness, restlessness, panting, loss of appetite, weight loss, fever, seizures, swelling of limbs, pot belly formation, heavy breathing, dehydration, cough in the night, increased thirst, lot of urination, passing urine along with blood, straining while passing urine, nausea, vomiting, jaundice, swollen and abnormal growth of gums, jerky movements, general weakness and diarrhea, nose discharge, raised nodules around neck and head, swollen elbows, lameness, signs of pain, loss in coordination of movements of various body parts, swollen abdomen, suffering and shock.
Eye diseases manifest with discharge of fluid from the eyes, staring, excessive tears production, squinting and formation of yellowish cast, increased sensitivity to lights and glares, hazy vision, swelling of conjunctiva or cornea and opaqueness of the eye lens.
