The Shih Tzu is a wonderful looking dog having height of eight to eleven inches with nine to sixteen pounds of weight. The dog was a gift from the Tibetan monks to China. As they had a look of a lion, they were known as Tibetan Shih Tzu or Tibetan lion. It was widely received by people all across the globe due to its beautiful look and friendly attitude.

The Shih Tzu love people’s company. However, if left alone for a long duration, they can show their bad-temperedness. They are very sweet by nature and they get along very well with anyone without much effort. However, leaving this breed alone with kids is not advisable.

This breed requires extensive grooming as it has two coats of fur. They need to be brushed daily to avoid tangling and hair matting. How-Do-I-Cut-My-Shih-Tzu-S-Hair      Grooming the Shih Tzu is very fascinating task. Their double coated fur takes some time to get settled. If your Shih Tzu is participating in dog show, then let the hair fall on the ground and clip the hairs above the eyes and head. However, in normal days, cut the hair which will save your time and also make the dog comfortable in the summer season. Short hair also reduces the chances of developing any tangling or hair matting and prevents you from brushing every day. More..
