Ear mites are tiny insects living on the surface of the ear of the dog and may be very disturbing for the animal as the ears become inflamed and the skin becomes red. The ears develop a foul smell due to the infection and have to be immediately attended to if the infection starts showing up. Otherwise, the dog would keep shaking its head very vigorously.
